obtain delivery of the Naval Arsenal
Yard free of encumbrances;
Moreover,
the
land in question will not be required
for Admiralty purposes when the new
Admiralty Magazines have been constructed
it would appears that hence,
on Stonecutters Island, and hence, in
accordance with the Tripartite agreement
of 14th February, 1921, it reverts to
the Hong Kong Government.
If, to suit
the convenience of the military authorities,
arrangements are made for carrying the ropeway
over any portion of the Arsenal Yard, thereby
de preciating the value of the area as a
building site, a proportionate amount
should be deducted from the sum of
$2,000,000 which the Hong Kong Government
was prepared to pay for the area free
from encumbrances.
