4. European Police Officers and Prison Warders and their
families will be granted, when proceeding on or returning from
leave, (a) if domiciled in England or Scotland, third class
railway fares between port of arrival in the United Kingdom
and London or Edinburgh respectively; (b) if domiciled in
Ireland, third class railway fares and second class boat
accommodation between port of arrival in the United Kingdom
and Dublin or Belfast.
B.- INDIAN OFFICERS.
5. Passages are provided by Government in accordance with
the following rules to officers on the permanent establishment
who are domiciled in India:-
(1) After a period of five years' resident service an
officer of Indian race on the permanent establishment
who is domiciled in India, will if proceeding on leave be granted retum passages or if retiring on pension single passages to India provided that in the latter case he sails within six months from the date of ceas-
ing to perform the duties of his office.
(2) Officers with salaries of $600 per annum and over will receive second class passages to Calcutta, in steamers to be selected by the Government, and intermediate
railway fares to and from destination in India not
exceeding in cost Rupees 40 for each full single fare. (3) Officers with salaries under $600 per annum will
receive deck passages to Calcutta and third class railway fares to and from destination in India not exceeding in cost Rupees 28 for each full single fare. (4) Payment by Government for passages and railway fares
of married officers, who are permitted by Government
