6. As the work of revising the General Orders is nearing completion I should be glad in the event of the Regulations being approved, if I could be notified
of such approval by telegram.
7. After approval, it is proposed to enforce the new Regulations on all newly joined officers, but
to allow officers now in the service to choose between
the old and the new Regulations. If the choice falls
on the new Regulations, they will apply as from each
officer's last return from long leave or if he is now
on leave from his next return to duty.
