of America, are not recognized in the British Empire and

this method of earning a living is not open to your

petitioner whilst living in the British Empire.

13. Prior to rejoining her husband, your petitioner

desires to take a course of study in the United States of

America in a subject in which the American qualifications

are recognized in London, after which she feels that the

task of earning her own living when she rejoins her

husband will be greatly facilitated. Your petitioner has

still sufficient funds for this purpose, provided she

were relieved of some of the anxiety for the future as

regards her husband, whereas as matters stand at the moment,

she is not financially in a position to rejoin her husband

in England.

14. A draft of this petition has been sent to Mr.Brewer

and your petitioner has received his authority by cable

to make this petition on his behalf,

15. Your petitioner on behalf of her self and her

husband therefore prays that Noel Instone Brewer may be

granted a free pardon and that your petitioner and her

husband either jointly or severally may be granted

compensation in the form of an ex gratia payment out of

the funds of this Colony and/or of His Most Gracious

Majesty King George the Fifth

And your petitioner will ever pray, etc.
