CIRCULAR No.48.
With reference to Circular No.32 of 1930 Reeda
of Departments are requested to furnish as early as possible a statement in the annexed form shewing any cases among
officers of their departments whose revised maximum salary
is less than $480 per annum in which such revised maximum
is not more than the officer's pre-revision emoluments, i.e.
in which if all possible increments of the revised scale
were given, the officer would either gain nothing or would
require a personal allowance to prevent loss.
2. Quarters and rent-allowances should not be
included in either calculation.
