Two Anglo-Chinese Masters, Messrs. Luk Lap-in
and iu Tin-shang were on the anomalous salary of
$1,250 per annum in the pre-revision scale of $700 - $4,800 being ineligible for further promotion.
Te consider that their revised salary should be $1,650
i.e. 32% above their old salaries.

Mr. Pong Ving-shui, Anglo-Chinese Master,
has been in receipt of an allowance of $720 per annum
for extra pork as Sub-Inspector of Night Schools.
recommend that this allowance be raised to $864 per
annun.
60. We are informed that the messenger" at
Qhoen's College, and the "coolie" at Ellis Kadoorie
School are actually discharging the duties of Office Attendants and that the "coolie" at King's College
is similarly a Laboratory Attendant. We recommend
that all three should receive the scale allotted to
the higher appointments, viz, $192 - $240 and that
their titles be made to correspond with their duties
in future Estimates.
