last, I have to state that the Secretary of State has
informed us that your transference to the Imperial Service
dated from the 1st September last. I have therefore to
request you to send us a cheque for £22. 16. 2., the amount
paid you in respect of your salary for September as Assistant
Engingeer, Public Works Department, Hong Kong.
