Public Works Department,
Hong Kong,
June Ist 1896.
25
I have known Mr R. F. Drury for the last eight
years, during which time he has filled various appointments in
the Public Works Department of this Colony, being Assistant
Surveyor, Acting Sanitary Surveyor and Assistant Engineer.
He has had a good general experience in Engineering
and Surveying and has further had the opportunity of acquainting
himself with the design and execution of several important
Public Works.
He is at present an Assistant Engineer in the
Department and I am of opinion he will be found a reliable
Assistant or Resident Engineer by anyone accepting his service
in such a capacity.
As regards Mr Drury's personal character I enter-
tain a very high opinion, I have always found him most
coneientious and upright in the performance of his duties.
