sir,
5 January, 1932.
I have laid before the Tords Commissioners of His
Majesty's Treasury Sir Vincent Baddley's letter (C...in C.
4489/31/207A) of the 18th December 1931 with regard to the
proposed new Naval hospital at Hong Kong, and i am now
directed to request you to convey to the Lords Commissioners
of the Admiralty the following reply.
My ords note that the possibility of adopting a
cheaper schome by curtailing the accommodation proposed for
the new hospital has been again considered, but that the
=
board of Admiralty are of opinion that a smaller establishment
would be inadequate for the requirements of the fleet. The
Lords Commissioners of the adziralty therefore propose to
proceed at once with the construction of the new hospital at
an estimated cost of £142,000 under Havy Vote 10 and £10,500
under Vote 8, the provision under Vote 10 in 1982 being £7,500
The Secretary,
Admiralty.
only,
