consideration the policy of His
Majesty's Government was conveyed to
His Majesty's Minister at Nanking in
Sir Austen Chamberlain's despatch
No.338 of the 21st March, 1929, & copy
of which was enclosed in my predecessor's
secret Straits Settlements' despatch
of the 20th April, 1929, and outlined
by His Majesty's Minister in his
