Sir,
I am commanded by the Army Council to refer to the subject of the transfer of the wireless services in Song Kong to Imperial and International Communications Limited which is at present under consideration by the Committee of Imperial Defence.
2.
I su to say that the Council consider it desirable that you should be acquainted with their views on the subject in order that you may give affect to them in any local negotiations which may take place.
3.
༢
Generally speaking the Counc11 have no objection to the project provided that no interference is caused to any of the existing stations of the three services. They are strongly of opinion, however, that from a defence point of view any now wireless station should be sited on the north side of Hong Kong Island. Falling that they consider it should be located either at some other position on the Island, or on the peninsula south west of the Kowloon Ridge.
