With reference to your letter of the 22nd January
(82746/31/31), transmitting a copy of a despatch from
the Governor of Hong Kong and of a Bill entituled "An
Ordinance to authorise and validate the construction and
maintenance of piers, reclamations and other public works
in connection with the foreshore and seabed or Crown land
covered with water", I am directed by the Board of Trade
to state, for the information of the Secretary of State
for the Colonies, that they have no observations to offer
upon the Bill.
