With reference to the letter which Lord
Strafordham wrote to me on the 22nd of Janu ry end
previous correspondence on the subject of a message
for "The Hong Kong Telegraph", I enclose a copy of
tekagrom
grem from the Gov rnor, dated 21st May,
a
contrining the text of a message of lovelty which
"The Long Long Telegraph" wishes to be submitted to
the King.
We shold be glad to know whether a suitabl
acknowledgment of this message may be sent on behalf
of His Majesty as suggested in Sir Willirm Peel's
telegram.
