OVERSEAS TRADE.
TRADE MISSION TO SOUTH AFRICA AND THE RHODESIAS.
15. (a)
(b)
"That the personnel of the Trade Commissioner
Service in the Union of South Africa should be increased by the appointment of an additional Trade Commissioner at Capetown, and that the allocation of areas assigned to the Trade Commissioners stationed within the Union should be altered."
"That a new Trade Commissioner post should be established for Northern Rhodesia, Southern Rhodesia and Nyasaland, with headquarters at Bulawayo".
TRADE MISSION TO EGYPT.
16.
"That the office of our Second Commercial
Secretary in Cairo should be removed from the Residency to adequate accommodation in the business centre of Cairo, possibly at His Majesty's Consulate-General. In his new office he should act as an intermediary between business men and the First Commercial Secretary, under whose direct authority he should remain and to whom he should refer all commercial enquiries other than those of a routine nature. It is hoped that this will bring the First Commercial Secretary in closer touch with business men".
