Our Hockey teams were not very successful with their fixtures during the year, but it is pleasing to note that more and more members are taking an interest in the game. It is also hoped that a Ladies' Team will be formed in the near future. We congratulate Mr. A. B. Suleiman on his hockey green and the other members of the eleven on the award to them of club colours.

Billiards is still very popular in the Union. The billiard earnings amounted to $956.30 at the end of the year 1930, thus exceeding the previous year's income by nearly $160. The second billiard table has already been repaired at the beginning of the second term, and we have now two tables for play. A successful tournament was held by the Billiard Club and we congratulate Mr. Ho Shai-cheong, the previous year's holder of the champion- ship, on his winning the title again.

Last year, an Athletic Club was formed in the University and was later affiliated to the Athletic Association. The forma- tion of such a club has been long overdue, because members are beginning to take more interest in athletics. We wish the Club every success in the coming Inter-University Athletic Meet and in the holding of the University Annual Sports in the future.

Mr. Chau was

a fourth year Medical student and was Hon. Secretary of St. John's Hall before he died. He had a very genial disposition, and during his few years in the University, he had made himself popular among his fellow students.

In conclusion, I wish to express my sincere thanks to the President and the members of the Council for their very kind assistance, advice and co-operation with me in the carrying out of my duties, and to the members of the Union for their support during the past year.
