I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
your despatch lo.425 of the 6th of October, and to infom
you that His Majesty will not be såvised to exercise His
power of disallowance in respect of Ordinance No.21 ef
1931 of the Legislaturo of Hong Kong entitled "An Ordinem e
to send the Magistrates Ordinance, 1990".
I have assumed that it was not intended that this
Ordinance should bring the law with regard to the evidence
and statement sta preliminary inves
preliminary investigation of sn socused
person into line with Section 12 of the Criminal Justice
hot, 1985 (15 and 16 000.5, ch.86). Section 12(2) of that
