I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Lordship's telegram of the 31st

4/14/6/30 of October, 1930, reading:-

"I shall be glad to learn whether there

is any foundation for the report which has

reached me that the Hong Kong Government

are recognising passenger certificates

granted in Macao to s.s. "Paul Beau" and

"Charles Hardouin" which are stated to be

going under Portuguese flag to avoid local

regulation",

and to confirm my reply of the 4th of November,

1930, reading:-

"Your telegram of 31st October No. 100.

Passenger certificates. Owners concerned

advised on 27th October full Hong Kong

Passenger regulations will be enforced

before clearance permitted".
