No. 281. I appreciate that in the
circumstances it was necessary to
authorise the expenditure in
anticipation of my sanction. The matter
should, however, have been reported to me
by despatch at once in order that
might
my covering sunotion could be obtained with
as little delay as possible.

The expenditure contained in Report
No. 8 of the Financial Committee and in the
Schedule of Additional Provision for the
quarter ended 30 th of January, 1931, is
approved,
subject in the case of those
items in the latter which have not yet
been approved by the Legislative Council
to that approval being in due course
obtained.
