177.-34, Miscellaneous Services:-Anti-Japanese Riots.
Expenditure in connection with the Anti-Japanese Riots which was met in 1931 amounted to $3,633 only; a further message being required in respect of expenditure which was not brought to account until 1932.

A sum of $60,000 was approved in Message No. 15 Item 145 to supplement P.W.R. Hong Kong Sub-head 6 Item 3 Water Account (Meters). This was incorrect as only $30.000 should have been voted for Hong Kong and the balance should have been allocated as above.
It is requested that out of the $60.000 voted for Hong Kong the sun of $30,000 may be debited as above as the meters are required for Kow- loon and New Kowloon and have been issued accordingly.
