despatch of one of the really well prepared
Education Reports, in order that it may be seen
what kind of thing is wanted.
I must admit that I feel rather uneasy about
the general educational position in Hong Kong.
Would it be possible to find out whether Mr. Wood,
the permanent Director, is likely to return to the
Director's post, and, if not, what the views of the
Government are regarding his permanent successor?
I am not stating definitely that the present
arrangements are unsatisfactory, but I think it
would be desirable to know more clearly what the
intentions of the Hong Kong Government are.
