1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Suitors' Funds Short title. Ordinance, 1896.

(1) Subject to rules to be made under this Ordinance, Moneys all moneys paid into the Supreme Court shall, unless re- court to be quired by any enactment to be dealt with in any particular placed on way, or unless directed by any order of court to be invested, deposit with be placed by the Registrar of the court on deposit with the Treasurer.
(2) Such moneys shall, subject to such rules, bear interest at the rate of two per cent. per annum to be paid by the Government, which shall be liable for the moneys so placed on deposit and for the interest.

(1) regulating the placing on and withdrawal from deposit of money
in court, whether paid in before or after the com- mencement of this Ordinance, and the payment or crediting of interest on money placed on deposit;
