I have the honour to inform Your Lordship
that I have provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure appointed the Honourable Sir H. E. Pollock, K.U.,
to be an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council for a
further term of five years with effect from 9th March,
1931.
2. In this connection I would draw Your
Lordship's attention to correspondence ending with Mr.
Amery's confidential despatch of 5th August, 1926.
3. Sir Henry Pollock is at present on leave in England and is not expected to return to the Colony until October of this year. His place on the Executive Council is taken by the Honourable Mr. J. Owen Hughes as reported in Mr. Southorn's despatch No.200 of 10th
April, 1930.
4. I enclose a copy of the provisional instrument for this appointment.
