BY VIRTUE OF POWERS vested in me, I, SIR WILLIAM PEEL, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, do by these presents appoint you WILLIAM BROWNLOW ASIE MOORE provis- ionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be a Member of the Legislative Council during your tenure of office as Acting Director of Medical and Sanitary Services.
