toriality negotiations, Ratification, Mote at time of signature of Treaty".
With reference to Article (ratification article) of the Treaty signed by us today, I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that His Lajesty's Government in the United Kingdom will be prepared to deposit the ratification of the said Treaty in respect of the United Kingdom as soon as possible, provided (i) that they are satisfied that the National Goverment of the Republic of China are able to give effect throughout China to the terms of the Treaty; (ii) the National Government of the Republic of China shall have con- cluded agreements for the modification or abolition of extraterritorial rights with all other powers, party to the Treaty signed at Washington, the 6th day of
February, 1932.
