THE EGYPT ORDER IN COUNCIL, 1930.

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 28th day of July, 1930. Present,

The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council. Whereas by Treaty, capitulation, grant, usage, sufferance, and other lawful means, His Majesty the King has jurisdiction in Egypt:

And whereas it is expedient that the various Orders in Council providing for the exercise of such jurisdiction should be con- solidated and amended:

Now, therefore, His Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf by the Foreign Jurisdiction Acts, 1890- and 1913, (a) or otherwise in His Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-

Schedule of Repealed Orders

2. The limits of this Order are the Kingdom of Egypt, in-

cluding the territorial waters thereof.

3. In the construction of this Order and of any rules, regula- tions or orders made thereunder, unless there be something in the subject or context repugnant thereto :---

(a) all words or expressions defined or interpreted by the Interpretation Act, 1889, (b) shall, unless otherwise defined in this Article, be interpreted in the same sense as in that Act provided;
