and to the distribution and winding up of estates and
family law in general.

In the application of the legitimacy Act,1926, by
the Supreme Court in the exercise of its civil jurisdiction
on the principles of and in conformity with English law for
the time being:-
(a) a domicil in China shall have the like effect as a
dosiell in England;
(b) in Section 8 of the said Aut the word "Chine" shall
be read for the words "England and Wales":
(a) the Supreme Court shall have for and within China
in relation to British subjects the like jurisdio-
tion as belongs to the High Court and County Courts in England;
(4) the provisions of Section 1(4) and the schedule to
the Aat shall not apply in China.
6. In the application of the Adoption of Children Aat, 1986y the supreme Court in the exercise of its sivil jurisdiction on the principles of and in conformity with
English law for the time being:-
(a) in sub-section 5 of Csation % of the said Aot the
word "China" shall be read for the words "England
and Wales";
(b) the court having jurisdiction to make adoption
orders shall be the Supreme Court;
(c) the Supreme Court shall oause to be sent to the
Registrar-General for England and sales a copy of
all adoption orders made in China for entry in the
proper register maintained by him.
