Your telegram No. 83 Tour (of March 27th;

Extraterritoriality negotiations).

You should delete opening words "subject" to

"Great Britain" and add the following sentence at

the end:-

"Reciprocally, Chinese citizens shall enjoy

in the United Kingdom in respect of all the above

matters, treatment not less favourable than that

enjoyed by British subjects or subjects or citizens

of the most-favoured foreign country".
