TELEGRAM from the Govenor of Hong Kong to the
Secretary of State for the Colonies.
Dated the 8th April,1931. Received at 10.41.a.m. on

Addressed to the Secretary of State for the Colonies
No.66 Repeated to Pekin No.7.Ministry of Communications
Nanking has called for tender for Railway ferry Nanking
to Fukow. Hong Kong Whampoa Dock Company have
tendered but assurance required that acceptance of Hong
Kong tender is in order under China Indemnity Bill.
The Company is a British firm and all materials will
be procured from England. Would be glad if necessary
assurance can be given .
