With reference to our letter of the 31st
January 1931, No.A/474 regarding the securities
deposited with us on account of the note issue of
the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in
Hong Kong and the Straits Settlements, I have the
honour to report, for the information of the
Secretary of State, that we have released £135,000
41% Conversion Loan Bonds 1940/44 to the Bank, and
have received in exchange £130,000 5% Conversion
Loan Bonds 1944/64.
