Dear Lord Bishop,
I am grateful to you for your letter dated
2nd November.
With regard to our Diocesan Boys' School, we
have just sent, an Appeal to the Secretary of State for
the Colonies, asking him to authorise the Hong Kong
Government to cancel the outst: nding portion of the loan
of $175,000, and to cancel such interest and Pinking
Fund charges overdue. The thought has occurred to me
that you will probably know the Secretary of State, and,
as you have seen the school yourself, if you could send
him a line endorsing this Appeal it would be a very great
help.
