Chinese promise of support throughout has been based on
St.Louis Salesian Institution of k whose methods Chinese
have experience and in which they have confidence.
No other Body here is comparable to them for the purpose of
an industrial school and a change would alienate subscribers.
Salvation Army little known here their first effort a mall
womens' refuge being opened only this year. Chinese sympathizer:
have fully discussed the question of religious teaching of
Salesians agree that it should not be compulsory and welcome
proposal of a Committee including Chinese to supervise the
whole Institution.
