2. I am to request that you will

arrange for the forms of agreement

to be amended by the inclusion of

the following clause:

"In case the person engaged shall complete the term of

years' service under this agreement at the least and his services shall then be dispensed with and he receives a certificate from the proper officer of the Government to the effect that his services have been entirely satisfactory, then the Government will pay him a bonus equal to three months salary, "provided that he leaves for England within one month after he shall so cease to do duty."
