I am directed by Mr. Secretary Henderson to

invite reference to your letter No. 62769/1929

of May 19th last, regarding the alleged discrimination

against the United States in the importation of

commercial motors into Hongkong, and to enquire

whether he may shortly expect to be furnished with

the views of the Officer Administering the Government

of that colony on this question.
