The Second Section of the Shing Mun Scheme
is described in Sessional Paper No. 4 of 1929 and Mr.

referred to the Secretary of State.
The principal work of this section of the
scheme is the Gorge Dam which it is proposed to raise
to a Top Water Level of about 600 A.0.D. and thus
secure the 2,000 million gallons storage in one

foundations of 220 feet. It is estimated the cost
of construction would be $4,550,000.00 or at the rate
of $2,275.00 per million gallons.

taking the direct drainage Area only, a supply of 61⁄21⁄2
