The

The Committee venture to point out that in Section 5 (1) of the Bill the titles of the various Councils in the United Kingdom have been copied from the Nurses' Registration Act of 1919. It should be noted that the title of the Council in Northern Ireland is now "The Joint Nursing and Midwives' Council for Northern Ireland" which was set up in 1922. Irish Free State has its own Council which, so far as this Council is concerned, is in the same category as the Councils of other overseas Dominions. This point has probably already been noted at the Colonial Office, and the Committee observe that the titles are correctly given in the Regulations which it is proposed to draw up under the powers given in the Bill.

I am, Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

Mariae S. Middels Riddeco

Registrar.

The Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office,

London, S.W.1.
