MINISTRY OF HEALTH,
RECEIVED
24 MAR 1930
COL. OFFICE
WHITEHALL, S.W.1.
21 March, 1930.
53
Sir,
In reply to Mr. Gent's letter of the 25th February, No.62920/29, enclosing copies of correspondence on the subject of reciprocity between Hong King, United Kingdom, and the Irish Free State in respect of the registration of nurses, I am directed by the Minister of Health to say for the information of the Secretary of State that there are no points in the correspondence on which he would wish to offer
observations.
I am at the same time to refer to the letter 3. which Mr. Gent addressed to the General Nursing Council
in 62929,29 for England and Wales on the 25th February, and to
enquire whether the Dominions Office propose in future to communicate directly with the General Nursing Council instead of through this Department.
It is of course understood that in intermediate correspondence communications pass direct, but hitherto letters initiating correspondence on matters of importance have generally passed through this 6ffice.
I am, Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office,
Downing Street,
S.W.1.
Bartu.
