With reference to 28 in 62762/29 and
previous correspondence:
? now communicate to Sir B. Blackett (s.o.
for Mr. Vernon's signature) the terms - (a) (f)
in § 2 of

upon which the Hong Kong Government
is prepared to dispose of its wireless undertaking
to I. & I.C. Ltd. in orderto ascertain whether these
terms are likely to be acceptable to the Company.
Sir B. Blackett should also be informed as in the
(1)
last sentence of gl and 64 of (a).
With regard to the transfer of staff, I take
it that what the Governor wants is pp:75 et seg of
Cmd.3338 (flagged in 61246/29 and a copy can be
sent to him in due course when we have seen whether
or not the negotiations are likely to proceed
further.
If the sale is to be effected I presume
that an agreement on similar lines to that executed
between H.M. G. and I. & 1.C. Ltd. see Cmd. 3338
will eventually have to be entered into by the Hong
Kong Government and the Company.

This had perhaps better be transferred
in due course to a separate file, neither the title
nor the other contents of this one are relevant.
As Mr. Vernon is on leave for some time
to come, Mr. Ellis or I should sign the pro-osed
letter?
