Committee are prepared to recommend assistance, I
enclose a list of some representative schemes which
have already been before the Committee and have been
favourably considered.
There is another aspect of the matter which
deserves consideration, and that is the question whether selected emissaries, with special engineering. agricultural, acientific or other qualifications
might not usefully be sent out to particular Colonies,
at the request if possible of the Governor, to assist
them in reviewing the potentialities for development
in the Colony, and the relevance of the Colonial
Development Fund to such potentialities. Advantage
will, of course, be taken of visits of Colonial
Governors and other Colonial officials to this
country for discussion with them and for obtaining
their advice on the possible uses of the Fund, both
in relation to the particular Colony and in general.
