(1) The treatment of British

protected persons of Chinese race,

a matter which affects primarily the

Malay States but also affects other

Protectorates and Mandated Territories.

(2) A proposal that dual nationality

should not extend beyond the third

generation, that is that the great

grandchildren, of the persons who

originally acquired British nationality

either by residence in the Colony at the

time of annexation or by subsequent

birth in the Colony should automatically

lose Chinese nationality without going

through the formality of denationalisation.

(3) A proposal that Chinese subjects who

acquire British nationality by naturalisation

should similarly automatically lose Chinese

nationality without going through the

formality of denationalisation.
