Sir Miles Lampson, referring to their conversation
on this subject at the last interview, enquired whether
any progress had been made and whether Dr Wang could
give him any reply to his suggestion that experts might
now get to work on the subject. Dr Wang replied that
the competent department in the Wai Chiao Pu were working
on the question but that he was not yet ready to take it
up.
Sir M. Lampson urged the desirability of getting
on with and disposing of this question.
