CONFIDENTIAL

Enclosure to Despatch e.

of 4th November, 1930.

Attorney General,

Lagos, Southern Nigeria.

October 6th, 1930.

Private Secretary,

I shall be glad if you will inform His Excellency that, grateful as I am for the offer made to me by the Secretary of State of the Attorney-Generalship of Hong Kong, and much as I appreciate it, I do not feel able to accept it. Family considerations, which I will not obtrude upon His Excellency, would at the present time make it impossible for me to be absent from England for as long a period as the appointment would necessitate.

(Sgd.) A. C. V. PRIOR

Attorney-General.
