officer in that Department) and at least on

a level with the pay drawn by Heads of Depart-

He should not be treated as

the Head of a Minor Department, as he has to

criticise and question the actions of all

Heads of Departments and possibly of the

Governor himself.

Can you tell me what the position is

as regards the proposed revision of salaries ?

If the Commission's other proposals are going

to be adopted, I think that £1,300-£50-£1,500

would be an appropriate scale for the Auditor.
