OPIUM CARGO SEIZED AT HONG-KONG

HONG-KONG, MARCH 5 Eighty-three cases of raw opium, of an estimated weight of two tons, were ; seized by Hong-kong revenue officers on board the small Canton Government steamer Tunghang, which was brought in to-day after stranding off Cheung- chau Island, on the outskirts of the harbour, during a fog.

It is significant that the crew were wearing uniforms and badges indicating that the vessel belongs to the "Anti- Opium Bureau of the Canton Govern- ment. The Chinese captain states that he was on a voyage from Canton to Swatow Owing to the apparently "offici
nature of the drug, an in- al terestingtuation has arisen.
