Dear Mr. Calder,

ADIEU

MON

DROI

Colonial Secretary's Office.

Hong Phong

25th February, 1931.

I am sorry to have been so long in answering 18 your note No 72737/30 of 17th December last but it has been necessary to secure and print a supply of double sheet despatch paper to hold the enclosures in the desired manner.

This has now been done and we will switch to the Colonial

Office system for all except routine despatches (e.g. reporting leave) for which we have a large stock of printed

single sheets in hand. The leave certificates and similar

enclosures to these routine despatches will, however, be

attached thereto by means of clips or bands of tape which will, I hope serve the object in view.

I shall be home on leave about the end of

June and will make a point of seeing you about this and any other matters of office practice which you may like changed.

Yours sincerely,

J. A. Calder, Esq.,

Colonial Office, London.
