4. It is hoped that the scheme will be in full
working order early in August next, unless anything unforeseen happens. It is proposed to commence service

II (1) Messrs. Mackinnon Mackenzie and Messrs. Jardine
Matheson & Co's service to Singapore early in July,
Service II (2) - Messrs. Butterfield & Swire's service
to Singapore, by August 1st, Service II(3) Messrs.
Butterfield & Swire's Hong Kong Shanghai - Coastal Service, by middle July, and Service II (4) The Canadian
Pacific Steamship Co's service, by early July.
