Dear Varrack,

Thank you for your letter of the 14th

March, on the subject of anti-piracy guards.

We concur in your draft telegram to the

Commander-in-Chief; but we shall be glad if he

can be instructed to communicate a copy to the

Officer Administering the Government.

Could you please arrange t let us know

by telephone as soon as your telegram has gone off,

so that we may inform the Officer administering

the Government that is Majesty's Governeent's

decision has been communicated to the Commander-in-

Chief?

The only thing on which we have any doubt is the proposal to employ hite Russian Non-

Commissioned Officers. This of course, is not
