In accordance with instructions received from

the former, ir. Haze case to Hong Kong to discuss the draft with me. Kisajesty's Minister aude

no criticism of this draft.

3. Apart from one or two pointe, I saw no objection to the suggested amendments, and was memred to accent then, subject to those points

being settled, They were :-

(a) the pronoged deletion of the reable on

the ground that it tended to give the agreement the status of a treaty, to which
