I am directed by Mr. Secretary Henderson to

refer to the letter from this department F 1226/37/10 of

the 10th March enclosing copy of a draft telegram to Sir

Miles Lampson on the subject of the proposed Hongkong

Customs Agreement. The final sentence of the penultimate

paragraph of the draft telegram has been amended in

accordance with the suggestion contained in the letter

C.R. T. 477/30 addressed by the Board of Trade to your

department on the 6th March, and I am to transmit herewith

for the information of Lord Passfield a copy of the telegram

as sent to Sir Miles Lampson.
