My Lord,
I have the honour to invite Your Lordship's
attention to the first paragraph of your despatch
Hong Kong, No. 160 dated the 25th of June, 1929, wherein it is stated that the title of the new Hong Kong 20,000 series of maps has been altered to read "Hong Kong and
New Territory", and that the marginal notes have been
similarly adjusted. I would observe that this amended
form still contains an error, the correct nomenclature
being "Hong Kong and New Territories" as set out in the
Government Circular of the 26th of October, 1906, of
which I enclose a copy. I venture to express the hope
that if time permits the alterations to which Your
Lordship refers will be made in the correct form.
I regret that, owing to an oversight, this
error was not brought to Your Lordship's notice at an
earlier date.
