Jear Captain Willis,
With reference to our telephone conversation
on the 6th, I now send you a copy of a despatch which
we have received from the Governor of Hong Kong
concerning the print containing the results of the
triangulation, Hong Kong survey.
It is understood that,
as the result of the official correspondence ending with
War Office minute M.1.4/China/248 of the 22nd May last,
the correct title of "Hong Kong and the New Territories"
has been substituted for "Hong Kong and the Leased
Territory" in all but the earlier advanced proofs of the
print. Accordingly I send you a copy of this denpatch
as arranged for purposes of confirmation and record only.
Could you let us have a copy of the later
corrected proof of the print for transudssion to hong kong?
